The projects “Quando do Velho se Faz Novo” and “Bebidas+Circulares”<\/strong> enter a new phase, until 30 June 2022. Promoted by the consortium APED – Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Empresas de Distribui\u00e7\u00e3o, APIAM – Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa dos Industriais de \u00c1guas Minerais Naturais e de Nascente and PROBEB – Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesas das Bebidas Refrescantes N\u00e3o-Alco\u00f3licas, the initiatives implement from this month a new points system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this new phase, each returned package is worth one point<\/strong> and users are encouraged to accumulate points that can be exchanged for prizes that appeal to sustainable behaviours<\/strong>. With this new step, users are motivated to place their beverage containers in the machines available in participating commercial spaces, continuing the preparation phase for the implementation of the future beverage container deposit system, to be installed throughout the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With different geographical locations and specificities in terms of the types of packaging accepted in the machines, the “When Old Makes New” and “Bebidas+Circular” initiatives share the common goal of encouraging and rewarding the return of non-reusable beverage packaging for recycling and incorporation as raw material in the production of new beverage packaging.<\/strong> In this new phase, the receipt issued by the machines stands out, which now has a code indicating the number of points obtained with the returned packaging. For each project, an online platform has been developed, where users can manage the accumulated points.<\/p>\n

In addition to exchanging points for prizes, the catalogues of which will be published on the websites of these projects at the end of January, users of the points platforms are immediately eligible to participate in weekly and monthly competitions.<\/p>\n

In addition, the solidarity aspect<\/strong> of the “Bebidas+Circulares” project continues in this new phase, giving users the possibility to convert their points into donations<\/strong> that will be delivered to the charities supported by this project: Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Mais Proximidade Melhor Vida and Ajuda de Ber\u00e7o.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
