No entanto, as emiss\u00f5es dos seus fornecedores e da sua cadeia de abastecimento, que s\u00e3o tipicamente as maiores fontes de emiss\u00f5es para grande parte das empresas, ainda n\u00e3o s\u00e3o encaradas com a mesma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o que as emiss\u00f5es diretas ou operacionais, pelo que, a maioria das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o tem desenvolvido estrat\u00e9gias s\u00f3lidas e abrangentes de mitiga\u00e7\u00e3o das mesmas\u201d, refere Carlos Elavai, managing director e partner da BCG em Lisboa.<\/p><p>O respons\u00e1vel acrescenta que para o conseguirem fazer, as empresas t\u00eam de avaliar toda a sua cadeia de abastecimento, definindo iniciativas \u201crealistas e eficientes\u201d juntamente com os seus parceiros.<\/p><p>O estudo apresenta tr\u00eas fatores-chave para as empresas reduzirem as emiss\u00f5es da cadeia de abastecimento:<\/p><p><strong>Implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de um comit\u00e9 dedicado ao clima<\/strong><br \/>As organiza\u00e7\u00f5es devem implementar um \u00f3rg\u00e3o dedicado aos impactos ambientais da sua atividade, recorrendo a consultores externos especializados, e efetuar uma an\u00e1lise financeira do risco associado \u00e0s emiss\u00f5es da cadeia de abastecimento, em articula\u00e7\u00e3o com o conselho de administra\u00e7\u00e3o. Segundo os dados apresentados no estudo, as empresas que j\u00e1 tomaram esta medida t\u00eam cinco vezes mais probabilidade de ter objetivos referentes \u00e0s emiss\u00f5es de \u00e2mbito 3, e uma estrat\u00e9gia alinhada com as metas globais de descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><p><strong>Fomento do envolvimento dos fornecedores<\/strong><br \/>A comunica\u00e7\u00e3o com os fornecedores e o seu envolvimento em quest\u00f5es ambientais \u00e9 essencial para as empresas conseguirem gerir eficazmente as emiss\u00f5es da cadeia de abastecimento. O estudo destaca a import\u00e2ncia dos dados de emiss\u00f5es de fornecedores, uma vez que contribui para que as empresas definam objetivos concretos, e instituam cl\u00e1usulas contratuais e incentivos para que estes operem em conformidade com as suas estrat\u00e9gias de descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o. O relat\u00f3rio indica que empresas que envolvem os fornecedores na discuss\u00e3o de quest\u00f5es ambientais t\u00eam quase sete vezes mais probabilidade de ter objetivos concretos de redu\u00e7\u00e3o das emiss\u00f5es de \u00e2mbito 3, e um plano de transi\u00e7\u00e3o alinhado com as metas globais sustent\u00e1veis. Contudo, apenas quatro em cada 10 organiza\u00e7\u00f5es adotam esta estrat\u00e9gia.<\/p><p><strong>Defini\u00e7\u00e3o e ado\u00e7\u00e3o de pre\u00e7os internos de carbono<\/strong><br \/>Deve ser inclu\u00eddo nas decis\u00f5es de neg\u00f3cio a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de um pre\u00e7o interno de carbono. As empresas que adotam esta medida t\u00eam quatro vezes mais probabilidade de ter objetivos de mitiga\u00e7\u00e3o das emiss\u00f5es da cadeia de abastecimento delineados, bem como um plano de transi\u00e7\u00e3o estruturado alinhado com a meta que limita o aquecimento global a 1,5 graus cent\u00edgrados. No que diz respeito aos investidores, devem exigir a divulga\u00e7\u00e3o dos riscos associados \u00e0s emiss\u00f5es de \u00e2mbito 3, e \u00e0 fixa\u00e7\u00e3o do pre\u00e7o do carbono pelas
