O Azores EcoBlue pretende utilizar e desenvolver inovadoras mat\u00e9rias-primas, transformando o lixo marinho da atividade piscat\u00f3ria a\u00e7oriana em produtos diversos. Em fios e fibras que possam ser utilizados em tecidos e cobertores pelo setor t\u00eaxtil, por exemplo. Ou novos revestimentos e argamassas para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o civil, que at\u00e9 est\u00e3o a originar um modelo-piloto de uma ecocabana, que ser\u00e1 parametrizado de modo a ser replicado em qualquer parte do mundo. Pretende-se, assim, promover produtos de valor acrescentado junto de um nicho de consumidores que valoriza e compra de forma consciente produtos de ecodesign.<br \/><br \/>Como explicou o presidente da AEP,\u00a0<strong>Lu\u00eds Miguel Ribeiro<\/strong>, na abertura da confer\u00eancia, o Azores EcoBlue \u201cpromove a economia circular e contribui para a sustentabilidade e vai buscar o recurso que Portugal tem aproveitado muito mal, que \u00e9 o mar\u201d. \u201cVamos buscar aquilo que prejudica o mar (lixos, res\u00edduos) para os transformar e serem reutilizados na ind\u00fastria t\u00eaxtil\u201d referiu, acrescentando que \u201ceste projeto dever\u00e1 ser uma bandeira, como um exemplo daquilo que o pa\u00eds e o mundo podem fazer, transformando aquilo que \u00e9 um problema
