Brother Receives Technical Packaging Award at Packaging Contest 2024 in Japan

Brother has received the Technical Packaging Award 2024 for its new moulded pulp cushioning material, a solution for more compact packaging. This design improves durability while reducing the size compared to traditional designs, reducing the materials used and weight by 33%. In addition, the material allows the volume of boxes to be reduced by 7%.

The Japan Packing Institute recognised Brother’s moulded pulp for its compactness and lightness, while maintaining cushioning performance and reducing CO2 emissions during production and other processes. This award is given to packaging solutions that excel technically in terms of protection, preservation and functionality.
