Rotom Portugal has been present for 17 years and is now one of the leading national references in used wooden pallets and circular economy solutions. Founded in 2008 in Leiria, a central location close to major industrial clusters, the company operates in modern 13,500 m² facilities fully dedicated to pallet repair, reconversion and supply.

The core business is the sale, rental and repair of used wooden pallets. Rotom Portugal is the only company in the country certified by EPAL to repair europallets according to strict safety and quality standards, audited regularly. It works with major retail groups and industries such as pharmaceuticals, paper, glass and metals, ensuring volume, consistency and reliable service.

Sustainability and innovation are central pillars. The company invested in a PRR programme focused on decarbonisation and digitalisation, including solar panels, the conversion of its heat-treatment chamber from diesel to biomass, and new machinery such as an Ecatec robot — the only one operating within Rotom in the Iberian Peninsula. These investments increase efficiency, allow more wood recovery and extend pallet life cycles, reducing environmental impact.

Rotom Portugal is also expanding with a new warehouse in Palmela, strengthening coverage in Greater Lisbon and the South while reducing emissions linked to transport.
