Jungheinrich bets on lithium-ion battery repair vans

Jungheinrich Portugal launched this year the new after-sales service vans, “Energy-Van”, dedicated to the repair of cargo handling equipment batteries, with a strong focus on lithium-ion (Li-Ion) technology.

The new after-sales service vans, equipped with all the tools and technology to repair Li-Ion batteries of cargo handling equipment, are, according to the company, a pioneering and unique project in the market for the repair of Li-Ion batteries, as well as lead acid and chargers, with a single vehicle.

Thanks to this solution, which is already available in countries such as Germany and Spain, repairs can now be carried out at the customer’s premises, preventing the batteries from having to be transported to a workshop, leading to the machine being immobilised for 4/5 days.
