In 2025, 472 trade fairs and exhibition events were held in Spain, attracting 6.8 million visitors and generating an economic impact of €13.6 billion.
Madrid, 3 June 2026 – Easyfairs is joining the celebration of the 11th edition of Global Exhibitions Day, which this year is held under the theme “Exhibitions Drive Opportunities”. Organised by UFI together with associations and organisers from around the world, the initiative highlights the ability of trade events to create new growth opportunities, foster valuable connections and accelerate the adoption of more sustainable solutions.
This year’s Global Exhibitions Day message is built around three key pillars: the opportunities exhibitions create for people by promoting learning, collaboration and professional development; for businesses by driving growth, opening up new markets and facilitating direct contact with customers; and for the planet by showcasing innovations and responsible practices that help reduce the environmental impact of industries.
In Spain, this message comes at a time of strong momentum for the exhibition sector. According to the Spanish Trade Fair Association (AFE), 472 trade fairs and exhibition events were held in 2025, attracting 6.8 million visitors and generating an economic impact of €13.6 billion. These figures reflect the role of exhibitions as a driver of economic development, job creation and cross-sector collaboration.
“An exhibition is not measured solely by the number of square metres or visitors. It is measured by what happens inside: the manufacturer who finds the integrator they have been looking for for years, the company that discovers a technology capable of transforming its production process, or the professional who leaves with a completely new perspective on the industry. That is what Easyfairs strives to create at every event,” says Óscar Barranco, Managing Director of Easyfairs Iberia.
A year of growth for Easyfairs exhibitions
As one of Europe’s leading organisers of trade events, Easyfairs contributes to this ecosystem through a broad portfolio of events across the Iberian Peninsula, including Advanced Manufacturing Madrid and Barcelona, Empack, Logistics & Automation and Logistic & Industrial Build, as well as WorkSafe Barcelona and Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto.
Among these events, Advanced Manufacturing Madrid will celebrate its 18th edition on 4–5 November at IFEMA Madrid, spanning four exhibition halls and bringing together more than 600 exhibiting companies. This year, the event has officially been recognised as an international trade fair by Spain’s Secretariat of State for Trade, a distinction that reinforces the results already achieved in the previous edition, which welcomed 151 companies from 19 countries and attracted 7% international visitors. In addition, it will join Madrid Tech Week for the first time, further positioning the Spanish capital as a European hub for technological innovation.
Meanwhile, Empack, Logistics & Automation and Logistic & Industrial Build will return to IFEMA Madrid on 11–12 November, occupying Halls 2, 4 and 6. The 2025 edition closed with more than 12,200 unique visitors, 426 exhibiting companies and over 46,000 business interactions.
Today, Easyfairs organises 150 events across 16 countries and employs a team of 870 professionals. In 2025, the company was awarded Deloitte’s “Best Managed Company” status for the seventh consecutive year.
