In the entire supply chain process, bar codes play a fundamental role, and of great importance, since they allow the control and monitoring of the product. The barcode can be found on virtually all packaging, and in different industries.
There are two types of code that can be used for product identification and control, 1D codes and 2D codes. 1D codes known as traditional in-line bar codes, identified by numbers and black bars. 2D codes are known as QRCode, which allow capturing a large amount of data in a small space. Both allow a quick and simple reading.
Therefore, the use of 1D or 2D codes adds numerous advantages to the various sectors:
